La Verne McClure of Indianapolis, brother-in-law of the bride, Robert' Faris of Mattoon and John Church of Charleston were ushers.

Mrs. Noble Houston, organist, played "At Dawning," "If You Were the Only Girl in the World," the End of Time" and the traditional wedding marches. She also accompanied Mrs. Carroll Faris of Mattoon, who sang "Always" and "I Promise You." David Julian Saunders, the former Miss Patricia Walters, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Walters of Robinson, who was married to Mr.

Saunders of Mattoon at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon in Robinson. Mr. and Mrs. Saunders 1 will make their home at 20121: Shelby avenue. train and long sleeves pointed over the hands.

Her white net veil was fingertip length and was held in place by a band of orange blossoms centered with a heart. Her only jewelry was a strand of pearls and matching' earrings, gifts of the groom, She carried a bouquet of pink carnations. Miss Sloan was attired in a floor length gown of pink net trimmed in black and carried a colonial bouquet of pink and white carnations. Mrs. Saunders is a graduate of the Robinson High School and Varner's Beauty School in Paris.

She was employed by a beauty salon in Robinson until the time of her marriage. Mr. Saunders is a graduate of the Mattoon High School and attended the University of Illinois. He served 42 months in the army, spending 22 months of that time in the Pacific theater. He is now employed as assistant manager of the Phipps shoe store in Mattoon.

A reception for 150 guests was held at the home of the bride's following the ceremony. The bride's table was centered with a three-tiered wedding cake topped with a miniature bride and groom and decorated with bouquets of mixed flowers and lighted candles. The napkins bore the inscription, "Pat and Julian, Feb. 9, 1947." Mr. and Mrs.
