Marjorie Morgan Marjorie Florence Morgan, 80, of Mattoon, passed away at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday, April 30, 1998, at the Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center.

The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday at the Schilling Funeral Home with Max Diefen-thaler officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. She married Albert Vernon Morgan on October 23, 1937, in Champaign. Survivors include her husband, Albert Morgan of Mattoon; two daughters, Judith Gayle Rominger and Sue Ann Morgan, both of Mattoon; one son; Richard Vernon Morgan and wife Susan of Decatur; one sister, Mrs. W. G. (Dorothy) Power of Milwaukee, Wise; three grandchildren, David Michael Rominger and wife Rachel of Logansport, Jennifer Beth Rominger Cothern and husband Dan of Mattoon, and Rick Morgan of Decatur; and three great-grandchildren, Zachary Michael and Connor Jay Rominger of Logansport, and Trevor James Cothern of Mattoon.

Oscar Edwards LaVerne "Oscar" Edwards, 41, was called to be with his Father in Heaven on April 19, 1998, at his home in Katy, Texas, after a long struggle with cancer. He was born on July 23, 1956, in Effingham, Illinois, and graduated from Cumberland High School in Greenup, 111.

Oscar served in the U.S. Army, 1st Cavalry Division and was stationed overseas in Germany. He became a resident of Houston, Texas, to raise his family and build his construction company. Oscar is survived by his wife, Bonnie and their two sons, Aaron and Michael. He is also survived by his mother, Bernice Mills of Greenup; father, Harlan Steven Smith SULLIVAN Steven D.

Smith, 39, of Sullivan, formerly of Herrick, died at 3:29 a.m. Friday (May 1, 1998) in St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Reed Funeral Home in Sullivan.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, maternal grandparents, and brother Charles Ogden.
