The varsity team members took part in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade through the Spirit of America program. On Thanksgiving, the Spirit of America program marked its 27th consecutive year of providing cheerleaders for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. The Martinsville teenagers earned an invitation to perform in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade by receiving the All American Cheer-leading Award at their above, and visiting the National Sept.

These four teenagers from Martinsville were among 750 cheerleaders from across the country who took part in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. The cheerleaders began practices for the special routine for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade at home via the internet. After arriving in New York, they took part in four-hour practices twice a day.
