Tacoma, 98401 Wisely service The funeral for George Calvin Charles Wisely was held Wednesday afternoon at Schilling's Funeral Home with Lt. Donald Kincaid and Lt. Raymond Daniels officiating. Burial was in Dodge Grove Cemetery. Organist Valerie Gibson accompanied the congregation in singing "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Near To The Heart Of God." Mr. Wisely, 78, of Mattoon died Dec. 16, 1990, at the Convales-' cent Care Center in Mattoon. Comity Records at 3:23 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Seventh Street and Jefferson Avenue.

Clem J. Vogt of Effingham lost control of the grain truck he was driving on County Road 420N on the Interstate 57 overpass, about two miles south of Mattoon, at 3:10 p.m. Tuesday. Also surviving are two sons, Larry Shoot of Palm Bay, and Mike Shoot of Boca Raton, two step-sons, Larry and Mike Swope of Tolono; one stepdaughter, Peggy Cain of Robinson; one sister, Patricia Morgah of Charleston; and three grandchildren. Mr. Shoot was a masonry contractor. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 35 of Charleston, the Elks Lodge No.

She married Omer Curry in 1940; he survives. Also surviving are one son, Avery Curry of Greenup, and one sister, Jean White of Atwood. She was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters. Mrs. Curry was retired from Ettelbrick Shoe Company.

George Fetters MATTOON George Carroll Fetters, 84, of Mattoon died at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday (Dec. 19, 1990) at the Douglas Living Center. A graveside funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Bethel Cemetery with the Rev.

Greg Swango officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Friday at the Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home. He was born Jan. 14, 1906, in Edgewood, the son of James William and Ida Catherine Carroll Fetters.

He married Cordelia M. Atchley in 1930; she survives. Also surviving are a son, Vernon Fetters of Mattoon; two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Max-ine) VanMeter and Mrs. Austin (Jeanie) Carter, both of Mattoon; two brothers, James Fetters of Neoga and Willis Fetters of Mattoon; seven grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, three brothers, two sisters and one grandson. Lois Messmore CHAMPAIGN Lois Lucille Messmore, 85, of Champaign, formerly of Mattoon, died at 12:45 p.m. Tuesday (Dec. 18, 1990) at Covenant Medical Center in Champaign. A graveside funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m.
