Cutout lace accented the open V-back and beaded lace bordered the hemline of the A-line skirt and attached cathedral-length train. Her gauntlets of net and hand-beaded lace completed her ensemble and she carried a bouquet of silk champagne and peach roses with baby's breath. Brett Hammond of Hindsboro Keersten Oleson of Bloomington, niece of the bride, was the flower girl and Kevin Connor of Bloomington, nephew of the bride, was the ring bearer. Guests were seated by Steve and Jay Bethea, brothers of the bride and Tom Connor, brother-in-law of the bride, all of Bloomington. A champagne dinner and dance was held at the Crestwlcke Coun- try Club. The bride attended Bloomington schools and is employed by Champion Travel. The bridegroom received his bachelor's degree from Eastern Illinois University and is employed by Hospital Sisters Health Systems.

Built in the 1890s, the former Dudley home is owned by the Coles County Historical Society. A string quartet of Terry Coulton, Dorothy Kim, Gretchen Tracy and Cathy Ryan played brother-in-law of the bride, Jeff Hamand, brother of the bride, Elizabeth Tingley, Andrea Weas and Amy Allers assisted the bride and bridegroom by attending the guest book, seating guests and cutting the cake.

Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance were held at the Mattoon Holiday Inn. The bride is a 1973 graduate of 'Charleston High School. She received a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois in 198S and is associate professor of history at Eastern Illinois University. A graduate of New Trier West High School, the bridegroom com-' pleted his law degree at the University of Illinois in 1983 and is a second vice president with the Northern Trust of Chicago.
