A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Wesley Foundation, Urbana, with the Rev.

Miley Palmer officiating. She was born May 23, 1911, in. Dietrich, the daughter of Fred and Helena Engelbart Goebel. She married Brenton Brewer on Feb. 16, 1937, in Urbana; he survives.

vAlso surviving are three sons, a brother, four sisters and sever-; al nieces and nephews. Mrs. Brewer was a registered nurse. She retired from McKinley University Hospital in 1977, after 17 years of service. She attained her nursing license in 1932 from Mattoon Memorial Hospital Nursing School.

She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, Urbana, and the Illinois Nurses Association. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Venice, and the Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite of Indianapolis, Ind. He was a veteran of World War II. Myno Jones GREENUP Myno E. Jones, 81, of Areola, formerly of Greenup, died at 3:35 a.m. Friday (Feb.

23, 1990) in Douglas Manor Nursing Home, Tuscola. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Barkley Funeral Home, Greenup, with the Rev. Bennett Allen officiating. Burial will be in Bell Cemetery, Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m.

He was a member of the New Life Christian Center, Areola, the Odd-Fellows Lodge No.

379 in Van Dike, the Hut-ton Masonic Lodge, No. 698 at Diona, and the Valley of Detroit Consistory and the Moslem Shrine in Detroit, Mich. Lizzie Plank ARTHUR Mrs. Lizzie A. Plank, 77, of Route 1, Arthur, died at 4:25 a.m.

Friday (Feb. 23, 1990) at home. The funeral is set "for 9 a.m. Sunday at the residence, with ongoing visitation. Burial will be in the Yoder Cemetery, Arthur.

Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born Sept. 6, 1912, in Arthur, the daughter of Abraham and Anna Swartzen-truber Yoder. She married Jacob M. Plank Sept.

12, 1932. He died Aug. 20, 1984. Survivors include five sons, Lonnie.and Jerry, both of West Moreland, Ivan and Orrie, both of Arthur, and Norman of Areola; four daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Maryanna) Bontrager of Centerville, Mrs.

Floyd (Lucy) Stutzman of Sullivan and Mrs. Andy (Vera) Jess of Arthur; two brothers, Louis A. Yoder of Arthur and Jerry Yoder of Lov-ington; two sisters, Mrs. Ben (Sadie) Kuhns of Arthur and Miss Lucy Yoder of Arthur; 47 grandchildren, eight greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, a sister and three grandchildren.

Henderson, 71, of 1817 S. Ninth Mattoon, died at 8:25 a.m. Friday (Feb. 23, 1990) in Danville Veterans Hospital. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m.

Tuesday at Schilling's Funeral Home. Burial will be in Smyser Cemetery, near Gays. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. He was born March 22, 1918, in Windsor, the son of Albert S.

and Nellie Davis Henderson. He married Pearl E. Night in 1937; she died in 1978. Surviving are six sons, Lyle and Larry Henderson, both of Mattoon, Art Henderson of Indianapolis, Albert Henderson of Humboldt, Jerry Henderson of Oregon and Harold E. Henderson; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and his long-time companion, Frances of Mattoon.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and eight sisters. Mr. Henderson was a retired Ibreakman for the Penn Central land Illinois Central railroads where he worked for 30 years. He was a barber in Mattoon since 1948. He was a member of the United Transportation Union attended the Bible Baptist Church, Mattoon.

He was born July 18, 1960, in Charleston, the son of Clarence and Joyce Lang Smith. Surviving are his father, Clarence Smith of Humboldt; his mother, Joyce Clark of Charleston; a brother, Richard Smith of Charleston; two half-brothers, James Smith of Areola and Patrick Smith of Humboldt; three half-sisters, Mrs. Kevin (Caroline) Grant and Rena Smith, both of Springfield, and Becky Smith of Humboldt; and his maternal grandfather, Oliver Lang of Charleston. Nancy Stroud MATTOON Nancy Lee Stroud, 53, of Route 1, Mattoon, died of natural causes at 10 a.m. Friday (Feb.

Saturday at the funeral Burial will be in Upper Muddy" Creek Cemetery southwest of Lerna. She was born April 30, 1936, in Louisville, the daughter of Virgil and Ruth Martin Jones, who survive. She married James Edward Stroud May 9, 1959, in Latona, 111. He survives. Also surviving are two sons, Patrick Timothy of Mattoon and Jason Daniel at home; a daughter, Jill Stroud of Decatur; two sisters, Mrs.

Gerald (Carolyn) Dobbins of Wheeler and Mrs. JMark (Sharon) Carney of Salem; and two grandchildren. Mrs. Stroud was a speech-language pathologist with the Mattoon school district. She was a member of the Broadway Christian Church, where she was a pianist for more than 18 years.

She was also a prayer group leader and a Sunday school teacher at the church. She was a board member of the Area Education Credit Union, and a member of the Illinois Education Association. Memorials may be made to Lincolnland Hospice or the church. Harold Williams MATTOON Harold "Rex-Williams, 74 of 609 Marion, Lot 10, Mattoon, died at 5 a.m. Friday (Feb.

23, 1990) in Mattoon Health Care Center. The funeral is set for 2 p.mf Monday at the Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home, with the Rev. William Stark officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Dodge Grove Cemetery. He was born Jan. 1, 1916, in Coles County, the son of Cecil and Carey Mitchell Williams. He married Hazel Jennette McDuf-fie in 1941. She survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Ed (Sharon) Farris and Mrs. Tom (Margo) Cooper, both of Mattoon, and Mrs. Dennis (Mary) Brown of Mount Vernon; three sisters, Mrs. Robert (Mildred) Sindelle and Mrs.

Harold (Betty) Perkins, both of Mattoon, and Mrs. Margaret Cruthers of Neoga; five granchildren, two great-grandchildren. Mr. Williams was a 22-year employee of the Big Four and New York Central railroads, and a 10-year ewmployee of Young Radiator in Mattoon. He was a member of the International Association of Machinists Local 511 and the United Auto Workers Local 1262.
