Miss Judith Ellen O'Dell, daughter of Mrs. Emily O'Dell and Leslie O'Dell, became the bride of Warren James Driskell, son of W. E. Driskell. Rev.

Meredith Thomas officiated at the double ring ceremony in the presence of members of the immediate families. Sue Ann Borror, organist, played nuptial aires before and during the ceremony. Friendship Club Of Loxa Meets Special to the Journal -Gazette LOXA, Ill. The Loxa Friendship Club met Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Merle Logan.

Mrs. Logan opened the meeting with a prayer. She also read several short articles on current events. Mrs. Frank Agnis was in charge of devotions.

Mrs. Claude Burtcheard, a recent bride, was given a gift by the club. Mrs. Logan served refreshments of ice cream, strawberries and cup cakes. A guest of the meeting was Mrs.

Owen Chism. Members attending were Mrs. Ralph Bumpus, Mrs. Frank Annis, Mrs. Charles Kellar, Mrs.

Claude Burtcheard, Mrs. Emmery Hill, Mrs. Lela Gillispie, Mrs. Logan and Miss Florence Shirley. The women pian a July picnic at Fox Ridge State Park.

Auxiliary Meets At Clapper Home Women's International Auxiljary 267 to. Mattoon Typographical Union 520 met Tuesday evening with Mrs. Robert Clapper, 2305 Moultrie. Mrs. James Herman, president, called the meeting to order.

The invocation was given by Mrs. Hendricks. A past president's pin was preesnted to Mrs. Gene Henry by Mrs. Herman.

Refreshments were served by the hostess. Present were Mrs. Hendricks Mrs. Herman, Mrs. Henry, Mrs.

Clapper and Mrs. Frank Jones. The next meeting will be with Mrs. Earnest Watkins on. July 3.

Mr. and Mrs. John B. Troano, Key West, have returned home after a week's visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs.

Gene Weemer attended the board meeting of the Illinois State Council of Epsilon Sigma Alpha sorority Sunday lay in Bloomington. They were accompanied there by their Husbands. Mrs. Grisamore is senior past president district and Mrs. McArdle eastern coordinator of the ficial council.

Mrs. Weemer Alphas the ofdelegate of Upsilon Chapter, of which all are members. Dessert cookbooks, published the state council, were distributed to the chapters. The cookbooks are compiled from recipes submitted by members and are now on sale throughout the state. New judging rules were announced for the state convention which will be held Oct.

12-14 in Bloomington. Final plans were made for those attending the international convention in Milwaukee, in July. Club Meets At Garrett Home Mrs. Leota Garrett was hostess to the Cloverleaf Club at her home Wednesday afternoon. Mrs.

Garrett conducted the meeting which was opened with "The Lord's Prayer." A social hour followed with poems read by the members. Refreshments were served by the hostess assisted by Mrs. X. X. McGee.

Escorted to the 'altar by her father, the bride wore a chantilly lace gown with basque bodice and sabrina neckline. Scalloped tiers formed a bouffant skirt. A scalloped crown outlined in pearls, held her silk illusion veil.

Wearing a floor length yellow organza dress with matching rose headpiece and veil. Miss Sandra May Hurst, Trilla, served as her sister's maid of honor. Don Mayhew was best man. Ushers were Gary Shirley and Group Names New Officers Mrs. Ella Johnston was elected senior regent at the formal Acadecy of Friendship meeting of the Mattoon Chapter of the Women of the Moose Monday night in the Moose Home.

Other officers are Mrs. Ralph Hamilton, junior regent; Mrs. Lloyd Harper, chaplain; Mrs. Charlotte Beason, recorder; and Mrs. Don Young, treasurer.

Mrs. Opal Naab will fill the office of junior graduate regent. Installation will be held 25. Sixity-two members attended the meeting which was opened by Mrs. Naab, past senior regent.

Mrs. Merton Rohlf, chairman, presided at the presentation of Pleasant Photo Gerald Plummer. The mother of the bride was attired in a pink lace sheath with pink and white accessories and the groom's mother chose a light blue sheath with white accessorles. A yellow and and pastel color theme was carried out at the reception that followed in the church basement. Karen Mayhew registered the guests.

Serving at the reception were Janet Lawyer, Jeannine Bennett, Mary Martha Drury and Marsha Pierce. The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Max Hurst, Rural Route 1, Trilla, was graduated from Mattoon High School with the class of 1962. She is now employed at Crawford Shoe Co.

Mr. Wheat is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Holmes, 1400 S. 3rd.

A 1960 graduate of MHS, he is now employed at Harold's Cleaners. The couple will reside at Shelby. Academy of Friendship rings and corsages to new members, Mrs. Robert Wood, Mrs. Lloyd Harper, Mrs.

Mrs. Kay Shouse, Charleston, was matron of honor, and Miss Jane Pickens, bridesmaid. Their gowns were fashioned of lavender brocaded taffeta with organza loverskirts. The best man was Delaine Traub, brother of the groom. Terry Traub, Charleston, served as groomsman and the ushers were Eldon Joergens, Tuscola, and Gary Pickens, Indianapolis, Ind.

The new Mrs. Traub is employed at Berta's Beauty Shop, Mattoon. Her husband attended Eastern Illinois University, Charleston, where the couple will live. Contest Judges Mrs. Mildred Frailey, Mrs.

Howard Chaplin and Mrs. Helen Wirth, members of the Mattoon Hairdressers Association, served as judges for the Effingham Hairdressers Association unit qualifying contest there Wednesday evening. Homemakers Unit Meets at Church Special to the Journa' Gazette GREENUP, Ill. The Friendly Neighbors Unit of Homemakers Extension Association met Tuesday night at the Long Point Church, northeast of Greenup. Mrs. Martha Robey presided and opened the meeting with a prayer. Mrs.

Stella Mae Reed presented the major lesson and Mrs. Robey gave the executive board report. Plans were made for Craft Day which will be held at a future Th date. Mrs. Robey was hostess.
