Both cases were heard by Commissioner" Tanner of Paris, the McClelland hearing being held in-the city court room, that of Ayera being heard at the court house, in Charleston. McClelland sustained an ankle injury wtyle at work in the local power plant of the Public Service Company.

The evidence at the hearing was that he was entitled to from six to eight weeks' compensation. Ay era sustained a rupture while delivering Ice for the company in Charleston. The company prior to the hearing offered to pay operation expenses in the sum of $160. Ayers refused to undergo an 'operation, claiming permanent disability. C.
