TUESDAY, MAY 13, 2014 JG-TC www.jg-tc.com Records AREA DEATHS 2014, at his home surrounded by his family. He was retired from California State University Northridge, as a Maintenance Manager. Paul also worked for UO Colson Company for over 19 years as a typesetter and then at the Terre Haute Tribune Star in the same position. Paul was born November 6, 1924 in Brocton, Illinois, the son of the late Paul W. and Inez L.

(Zeigler) Sterling. He married Wilma Jean Snyder on April 24, 1946 in Henderson, Kentucky, and she survives. Paul: and Jean were married for 68 years. Sterling Paul and Jean lived in Paris for 17 years and then moved to Saugus, California after their children relocated there because they wanted to be near Paul Sterling PARIS Paul (Bus) Walter Sterling, 89, of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 6:18 a.m. Sunday, May 11, their family.

After his retirement in 1991, Paul and Jean returned to Paris and have resided there ever since. Paul has two children, a son, James (Sue) Sterling, and a daughter, Vickie (Carl) Conti and both children reside in Peachtree City, Georgia. He has a brother, Bob (Julie) Sterling of Charleston, Illinois; and two grandsons, Chris (Kristen) Morgan who reside in Dacula, Georgia, and Andrew Sterling and his girlfriend, Phayvanh Inthisone and her daughter, Anna Thongkham who live in Newnan, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his youngest brother, Bill Sterling. Paul loved repairing bicycles and was known in Paris as "the Bicycle He was a jack of all trades and could fix anything.

His wife Jean would say that he fixed things around the house before they were even broken. Paul was a US Army veteran of WWII and served from January 1943 to January 1946. He was also a member of the American Legion Post He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and will truly be missed by his family and friends. For those who wish, the family suggests that memorials be made to Rescue 1 ambulance service or to the American Heart Association. SERVICE INFORMATION Services celebrating his life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m.

Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Templeton Funeral Home in Paris with the Reverend James Blue officiating. Burial will follow in Payne Cemetery, north of Brocton. Graveside military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post Veterans of Foreign Wars Post Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

He married Mary Fickle Lawson in 1947; she died in 2006. Survivors include one daughter, Nancy DavidLawson son of Lima, Ohio; two grandchildren; and six great -grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by one son, and three brothers.

Mr. Lawson was formerly employed with Marathon Oil, where he worked as an engineer. He later became Superintendent of Operations. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Redith Campbell CHARLESTON Redith Marie Campbell, age 81 of Charleston, died on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at her Hilltop Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center residence.

The Funeral Service honoring and celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Adams Funeral Chapel in Charleston with Pastor John Best officiating. Burial will follow in the Thomas Lincoln (Shiloh) Cemetery located in Pleasant Grove Township southwest of Charleston. Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time.

It is requested that thoughtful donations in her honor be made to the Charleston Bible Church Memorial Fund for the Charleston Christian Academy and Building Fund. Gifts may be left on the memorial table at the visitation or service or mailed to Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Charleston, IL 61920. Redith was born on July 18, 1932 in Charleston to William and Irene (Callaway) Hall. She married Dale E. Campbell on August 19, 1956 and he preceded her in death on October 19, 2004 following 48 years of marriage.

She was also preceded by her mother in 1971, her brother, Leon "Bud' Hall in 1985, her father in 1988, and her granddaughter, Alicia Zuniga in 2004. Redith is survived by her daughter, Tammy Zuniga of Ormond Beach, Florida; a sister, Joyce McNutt of North Pole, Alaska; a sister-in-law, Irene Hall of Temecula, California; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Campbell attended Frankfort Wesleyan Bible College and along with her husband Dale, pastored churches in Illinois and Indiana for over 20 years. She retired from Eastern Illinois University where she was employed as a secretary in the Journalism Department.

While on the EIU Campus she was awarded the "Employee of the Month" on two separate occasions. She has faithfully attended the Charleston Bible Church for many years. Redith loved doing for others. She was a tutor for many years with Project Adult Literacy and received an award for her outstanding service in 1999 from the Illinois Secretary of State's Office. She also volunteered through the Charleston Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) for many years.

Susie Culp ARCOLA Susie Culp, 62, of Lake Mattoon died at 5:20 a.m. Sunday (May 11, 2014) at her residence. The celebration of life service will be from 2-4 p.m.

She married Gary Lee Culpi in 1969; he survives. Other survivors include one son, Marty Lee Culp of Arcola; two sisters, Shirley Bennett of Culp Bushnelle, and Sharon Tichenor of Charleston; one brother, Jack McNary of Arcola; four grandchildren; and one great -grandchild. Schon, age 98, of Charleston, IL passed away at 5:50 a.m. on Sunday, May 11, 2014 at Hilltop Convalescent Center. No Services are planned at this time. Schilling Funeral Home is assisting the family. Helen was born on March 20, 1916 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Bolesav and Julia (Cichowska) Antczak.

He worked 20 years as the Ashmore Township road commissioner. He was a member of the Ashmore Presbyterian Church, the Casey Moose Lodge, the Ashmore Masonic Lodge the Danville Consistory, where he achieved the level of 32nd degree mason, and he was also a member of the Shrine.

Duane enjoyed welding, operating heavy equipment and hunting. He loved spending time with his family and many friends.
