MONDAY, APRIL 29, 2013 JG-TC Records Loraine Myerscough CHARLESTON, IL Loraine Myerscough, age 83 of Charleston and formerly of Taylorville, Illinois, passed away while in the comforting presence of her family on Friday, April 26, 2013 at the Charleston Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church located at the corner of Tenth Jefferson Streets in Charleston with Father John Titus presiding. Visitation for family and friends will also be held Tuesday morning from at the church.

Interment will follow at Mound Cemetery in Charleston. In lieu of flowers, Loraine's family has requested that thoughtful donations in her honor be made to Lincolnland Hospice. Gifts may be left on the Leota Brazzell CHARLESTON Leota Maxine (Bell) Brazzell, 78, of Charleston, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 8:55 a.m. The funeral service honoring her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at the Caudill-King Funeral Home with Scott Sims officiating.

Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, Mattoon. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Odd Fellow-Rebekah Home or Lincolnland Hospice. Maxine was born August 4, 1934 in Charleston, daughter of Walter H. and Flo (Wilhoit) Bell.

She first married memorial table at the Visitation or Mass or mailed to Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Drive, Charleston, IL 61920. Myerscough Loraine was born February 23, 1930 in Christian County, Illinois, a daughter of the late Frank and Dorothy (Malsbury) Fleigle. She married Merle Myerscough on September 23, 1948 in Taylorville and they have been blessed with sixty-four years of marriage and friendship. In addition to her loving husband Merle, she is survived by five sons, Jerry and wife Carol, Dave and wife Althea, Kevin and wife Cindy, and Brian and wife Trina, all of Charleston, and Mark and wife Denise of Bloomington, Illinois; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Juanita Nation and Max White; he preceded Reeds and husband Jack of Oakland, Karen Ayers and husband Mark of Charleston, and Cindy Pearcy of Charleston. Seven grandchildren, Marty Larson, Shelly Evans, Anthony Hallowell, Todd Higginbotham, Jack Pearcy, David Pearcy, and Danny Pearcy.

Thirteen great -grandchildren, Luke, Cade, Marc, Jasmin Janis, Brooklynn, Taylor, Hunter, her in death. She later married Paul Brazzell; he died February 14, 1992. She is survived by three daughters, Edwin Ochs at Swift Grain Co. and as a PESOTUM Edwin was born April 3, 1948 to John B. Ochs and Oliva A.

(Rennier) Ochs in Charles City, Iowa. He moved to Pesotum, Illinois in 1952. He attended St Joseph Catholic School and later Unity High School from 1962- 1966 where he ran track and studied auto mechanics. Ed's love and passion in life were hunting and fishing. Ed worked for CS Johnson in Champaign before enlisting in 1970- 1974 into the Marine Corp.

He achieved rank Corporal (E-4) and served in Vietnam as a helicopter mechanic. He was married to Marilyn Barnes of Mahomet from 1970- 1974. After returning home Ed was in the apprentice program through Plumber's Local 149 in Champaign. He also worked Nancy Bolen MATTOON Nancy Bolen, 67, of Mattoon died at 6:05 a.m. Sunday (April 28, 2013) at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Mattoon.

Cox, 64, of Martinsville died at 10:35 a.m. Sunday (April 28, 2013) at Heartland Manor Nursing Center in Casey. Arrangements are incomplete at Goodwin Family Funeral Home, Casey. Ellen Lawyer WINDSOR Ellen May "Jo" Cole Lawyer, 67 of Columbus, MS, formerly of Windsor, died at 6:30 p.m. Saturday (April 27, 2013) in Columbus CONTINUED ON PAGE husband Ken of Morrisonville, Illinois along with nieces and nephews and their families.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Joe Fleigle and a daughter-in-law, Karen Myerscough. Loraine was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Charleston as well as the Women of the Moose Charleston Chapter No. 1175, Ladies of the Elks and the Charleston Country Club. She was employed at Noble's Flower Shop for ten years and assisted with the family owned business, Jerry's Pizza.

But first and foremost, Loraine was a devoted wife and mother whose priority was always her family. She dearly loved Merle and their sons and created for them cherished memories of a warm and loving home. As the mother of five sons, Loraine spent a great deal of time at their many sporting events she was Macy, Megan, Jasmin Lee, Jaycee, Trey, and Jack, and another great-grandchild is on the way. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Jack Pearcy; and seven brothers, Claude Bell, Jim Bell, Raymond Bell, Fred Bell, Kenneth Bell, Carl Bell, and Earl Bell.

Maxine was a homemaker and a seamstress. She sewed clothes for everyone in the family. Maxine loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren. She was thrilled with the arrival of grandchildren and greatgrandchildren and dearly loved sharing time with them they were her pride and joy. She also enjoyed an afternoon on the golf course, was an extremely good bowler, and faithfully rooted for her beloved Chicago Cubs. She was a fan of NASCAR and as race fans Loraine and Merle both enjoyed many trips to the Indy Motor Speedway in Indianapolis for an afternoon of racing. Loraine will be dearly missed but ever so fondly and lovingly remembered by her family and friends. O'Neal, of Atlanta, passed away April 27, 2013. Virginia was a beautiful woman with a kind and generous spirit who touched many lives. She enjoyed her grandchildren, family and friends. She was an avid tennis player and instructor, loved dancing, gardening and Bible study. She was also an accomplished artist in oil painting and sculpture, and a calligrapher for the CocaCola Company. Edwin was in a single car accident July 31, 1984 which resulted in him being in a coma for four months and after he spent the next 29 years in the care of hospitals, Veterans Homes, and Nursing Homes.

Ed lived at Champaign County Nursing Home for the past 15 years until April 25, 2013. Ed was preceded in death by his mother in April 1974, his father in October 2000, and his brother in law, William G. Kielhorn, in May 1994. He is survived by his sister Dorothy Kielhorn of Cooks Mills, IL a brother Leo Ochs and companion Judy Waite of Champaign, IL; and brother Paul Ochs and Sydney Voghel Memorial Baptist Church in Columbus, MS. Arrangements are incomplete at Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home in Windsor.

Bobbie Nixon ARTHUR Bobbie Gene Nixon, 84, of Garden Grove, formerly of Arthur, died at 8:25 a.m. Sundayv(April 21, 2013) at the County of Ventura Hospital, Ventura, Calif. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Shrader Funeral Home, Arthur, with the Rev. Leroy Allison officiating.

Visitation will be two hours prior to the funeral service. Burial with military rites will be in the Arthur Cemetery. Mr. Nixon was born Aug. 16, 1928, in Charleston, the son of Eugene and Nellie Richardson Nixon.

He married Dolores Baker; she later died. Survivors include one son, Bobbie Nixon II of Orange County, one daughter, Anna Marie Nixon of Garden Grove, two stepsons, Buddy and Dale; one sister, Margie Prather of Rhode Island; three grandchildren; and one -granddaughter. He also was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. charter member of Briarcliff United Methodist Church, she designed the beautiful stained glass window of a cross in the sanctuary. We will all miss her loving and supportive presence in our lives.
